Improvised poems from concert
Saturday evening performance
by Yin Xzi Ho
Here on the water
with the willows gliding gracefully
in harmony with the reflection
of the softly rounded water
on the freedom of our enduring feathers
a serenity, a falling leaf of sweetness
ready to take flight
in the joyous spring breeze.
This is a love story,
a flowing river of sweetness
here we are
set free into timeless tranquility
nowhere to go
no way to be
just us
allowing
appreciating
accepting...
gliding gracefully
to the peaceful place where
hummingbirds hatch,
flitting through willows,
through the daydream - a sweetness
of rippling water,
heartbeats falling with the current
singing us a bedtime lullaby
as we glide gracefully through dimming
dappled light
on the gently silky river.
softly, twinkling frogs whisper
our unfurling wings to rest.
Sunday afternoon performance
by Yin Xzi Ho
I sit entranced
A thing of both energy and calm
What a lovely cloudy day.
I have been walking up the stream on rocks and witnessing the wind roiling over a bed of rushes.
A Crystal clear emerald pond greeted me and my body greeted it in a crescendo of goosebumps.
We become two lovers
surrendered to the dance.
Meeting each others’ heart’s longings
Delicate
Tender
Floating
Lilypads wrap our hearts in music.
There is such joy in experiencing our shared nature.
Soaring on the breeze.
What a journey.
Now it is time to say goodbye, a peaceful departure,
as the water flows downstream.
I stand,
Drifting home across fields in the fading light of sunset
Whether or not I am seen, beauty shines through me.
